Abt us:

People kept asking what we do. We kept not wanting to explain. DATSHI(™) was the compromise. Naming an agency is hard. Explaining what you do is harder. So we just said "We do that sh*t" and called it a day.

1. DATSHI
Creative Brand Consulting
Est. 2026, Saigon

This page is a bit unhinged, we know. But the work is real, pls check Referrals for projects, and everything made along the way.

Weird briefs especially welcome.

2. I’M SCARED OF FISH.
But obsessed with everything around it: shooting, writing, learning about Omakase, especially Edomae.

What I love most is how the menu follows sekki (節気), so each shift brings a new set of seasonal fish and vegetables to learn.

Enough seasons in, and you start reading a menu the same way you'd read a brand: not by the fish itself, but by what season it's quietly telling you. These days I'm full time creative at Kuma no ie.

3.  KISUNE NO MADO (狐の窓) — THE FOX’S WINDOW.
There's an old Japanese folk trick: form a small frame with your hands and look through it. Legend says you'll see what the naked eye cannot. Spirits, ghosts, things hiding in plain sight.

Brands hide things in plain sight too. Come to Datshi, we'll hold "the frame" for you.

4.  VARICOSE VEINS FR FR.
Nukumori Coffee Shop, Saigon,  © 2024

My uncle has varicose veins fr, so I designed everything around his body. Then I posted the construction drawings on social.

Now there are copies of the shop popping up all over the neighborhood. Hope they didn't copy everything, or their backs are in for a rough time.

Turns out good design isn't just how a space looks, it's how a body survives eight hours a day in it. That's the part worth copying.

Anyway, buy me a coffee pls!!!

7. THUMBNAIL IS AN APPLE.
This apple is our own redesign of one from Lily Chou-Chou, my favorite film. In Fengshui, apples (林檎) get tied to peace, harmony, and a sharper kind of knowledge.
